My Simple Business Model for 2025 – Steal It
As we kick off the year, I want to share my business model for 2025.
It’s straightforward, adaptable, and effective.
Take what resonates with you, discard the rest, but keep it in mind as you refine your own approach.
I’ve broken this down into three sections: Audience Acquisition, Audience Engagement, and Offers.
Finally, I’ll walk you through my daily and weekly routine, demonstrating how this model doesn’t require long hours to implement.
Audience Acquisition
Many people fall into the trap of trying to appeal to everyone. That’s a surefire way to dilute your efforts and achieve little. Instead, define your ideal audience carefully—they should share a few core problems that your content will address.
The key to effective audience acquisition is this: solve their problems for free. When they need deeper help, they’ll naturally turn to you for guidance.
Does the world need another cookie-cutter course?
Probably not.
People truly value practical help and actionable advice. Create “How To” content and “X Ways to Solve Y” articles to help your audience identify and tackle their problems. This style of content is highly shareable and grabs the attention of the right people.
Publish your content on your own platform ideally your blog or website.
From there, distribute it to other channels where your audience hangs out.
Consistency is critical, so aim to publish daily, Monday through Friday.
Once you’ve established a steady stream of traffic and engagement, it’s time to move to the next stage.
Audience Engagement
At this point, it’s all about deepening your connection with your audience.
A newsletter is the best way to achieve this.
Use it to provide deeper insights, share personal successes, and offer actionable advice.
Your newsletter is where you build authority. Share your real-life wins, no matter how small.
Avoid setting unrealistic expectations like, “Here’s how I made $100k in 6 months.” Claims like these often alienate your audience—either because they feel unachievable or they set expectations that you can’t meet.
Instead, focus on content that’s universally achievable. For example, share how consistent publishing leads to incremental success.
Here is what I published yesterday… small wins are more relatable
If you’re on Substack (and I highly recommend it), use the platform’s Notes feature to share quick insights, engage with others, and foster collaborations. This can include guest posts, interviews, joint workshops, or any activity that increases your reach and attracts your target audience.
Remember: you don’t need to bombard people with DMs about your offers. Build trust by consistently showing up with value.
Your Offer
Here’s the game-changer for my business in 2025: one offer.
Not multiple. Just one.
Previously, I had three courses, a community, books, and various lead magnets. It was overwhelming for both me and my audience. A few months ago, I decided to consolidate everything into a single, cohesive offer.
Now, my offer includes:
•All my courses
•Access to two communities (one for group training)
•My books
•Everything I create during the year
All of this is bundled for $99 per year. It’s simple, affordable, and eliminates confusion.
A word of caution: do the math.
Before setting a price, calculate your monthly costs and the income you need to cover them. For me, passive income from 20 years of work covers most of my expenses, so a few sales each month cover the rest. Know your numbers.
My Daily and Weekly Routine
Here’s how I implement this business model without overloading my schedule.
Daily:
•Write and publish an article on my blog and Medium.
•Engage with others by creating Notes, replying to comments, and leaving thoughtful comments on relevant articles.
•Review audience feedback to identify what resonates.
•Post content, create training videos, and answer questions in my communities.
Weekly:
•Write a newsletter. Starting next week, I’ll add a short-form edition.
•Produce a YouTube video and embed it into a related blog post the following week.
This model has worked wonders for me, and I believe it can work for you too. If you have any questions or need help implementing these strategies, feel free to reach out.
Let’s make 2025 a fantastic year!
